Penn research develops 'onion' vesicles for drug delivery

NSF-funded researchers potentially have found a way to replicate the basic structures of a cell's membrane. Using dendrimers, highly branched, star-shaped macromolecules, researchers produced a concentric, onion-like layered membrane that may ultimately help deliver drugs with significantly better controlled release mechanisms.Full StorySource
